Travelling by car

Local public transport
It makes no difference whether you've arrived in Duisburg by plane, train or car: here you can easily get through the town with the good local network. Whether you're wanting to get to the Entenfang in south Duisburg or the Landschaftspark Duisburg-Nord (Duisburg-North Country Park) or the Duisburg Zoo: you can get around in Duisburg by public transport and sit and relax as the city and scenery drift past.
Arriving by train
Whether your destination's Prague, Warsaw or Moscow, Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Basel or Zürich, Innsbruck or Vienna or even Bolzano, Milan or Verona - from Duisburg you can travel in comfort by train not only to lots of interesting destinations within Germany, international rail links are also readily available for train travellers. Duisburg is the hub of the main German railway lines from west to east and from north to south!
Travel by air to Duisburg
Lots of airports in the vicinity make for flexible arrivals and departures
Facts: the nearest airport is Düsseldorf and can be reached comfortably in 20 minutes by train or car. Airport Weeze is 40 minutes away, and not much further away is the Köln/Bonn Airport which is about 60 minutes away, as is Dortmund Airport.
